I’m Caitlin McAteer, founder of Pinyon & Pine Strategy.
Through Pinyon & Pine, I partner with foundations, public agencies, nonprofits, education organizations, collaboratives, and other mission-driven organizations navigating important questions about strategy, learning, impact, and change.
I often work with leaders responsible for strategy, learning, evaluation, impact, community engagement, implementation, and organizational change as they work to use data and strategy to do more good. I do this by helping impact-driven organizations solve problems, answer questions, make decisions, and tell compelling stories.
I believe data and evidence should help people make decisions, not simply fulfill reporting requirements. Those closest to the work hold essential knowledge and should be meaningfully engaged in decision-making. Rigorous work should be designed around its purpose, context, and intended use.
